AGRA PRESIDENT’S CHALLENGE EXHIBITION

 

12th to 23rd May 2010:  HATS

 

Entry is open to AGRA full and associate members and the public.

 

The 2010 Challenge is to submit a painting, the subject of which is to be pertaining to HATS. This exhibition will be judged and cash prizes awarded for Best Painting ($250) and Runner-up ($50).  .  All entries must comply with the Challenge set by the President of AGRA, meet the conditions of entry and be accompanied by the entry fee.

AGRA PRESIDENT’S CHALLENGE EXHIBITION

 

Entry DETAILS

1.       All artists are invited to exhibit one or two framed paintings of original work only.   No physical assistance is allowed and no copies of other artist’s work or anything which contravenes the Copyright Act. AGRA reserves the right not to hand any work which is not of a suitable standard. Small pair, sold as a pair, counted as 1 entry.

2.       SIZE SPECIFICATIONS :

i)                    one painting  maximum size up to 1.5 sq.ms and second painting not to exceed 0.85 sq.m.

OR

ii)                  one large painting greater than 1.5sq.ms hung at committee’s discretion.

  1. Entry Fee: No entry fee for AGRA members who live more than 100 kms from the AGRA Galleries.

Non-AGRA members $15.00 per painting.

AGRA members $10 per painting or $18.00 for 1 large painting

4.       Commission: - 30% of sale price

5.       Closing date :  Wednesday 28th April 2010

6.       Delivery date: From Thursday 29th April to Friday 7th. May 2010 to AGRA Galleries.

7.       Collection details : between 4:00 – 4:30 pm Sunday 23rd May or during AGRA business hours after the following Wednesday.

8.       Artist’s name and details, title, price and size to be marked clearly on the back of the painting.

9.        All entries must be accompanied with a completed entry form and entry fee including the poem details as per previous page which links the painting(s) to the theme.

 

OFFICIAL OPENING:  Sunday 16th May 2010 at 2pm at AGRA

 

ARTISTS, family and friends are welcome to attend the opening and announcement of AWARD winners

All paintings must be well presented with wire & ‘D’ RINGS.  If framed the rear must be fully finished.  If unframed all canvas surfaces to be painted.   If presentation is not satisfactory the painting will not be hung

AGRA is not GST registered, but where applicable the price of your artwork needs to be GST inclusive.

All reasonable care will be taken but any loss or damage will be the responsibility of the exhibitor.

AGRA reserves the right to reproduce and promote exhibited artworks.

AGRA reserves the right to refuse entry – fee will be refunded
