Terrianne Murray is the winner of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists’ highest recognition in 2007, the Australian Art Excellence Medallion.
Her contemporary representational drawings and paintings prove that Realist Art is alive in 2008. Terrianne Murray and Regina Hona, winner of the Terry Collins Award, are artists who in their paintings reflect aspects of life around us.
Terrianne chooses to portray real people, expressing their emotions and vulnerability. Recovering from a recent motor bike accident, she finds a deeper personal connection and meaning in her work.

Terrianne Murray

Terrianne Murray began painting in 1981 and became a full time artist in 1987, after a career in Hairdressing.
Her large works express her passion for portraiture, figures and life drawing. Having painted with a degree of realism, she merges these skills with looking inwards to incorporate conscious and sub-conscious thoughts and images. Terrianne feels empathy with each individuals own unique story and is compelled to create a visual narrative using the elements of body language and mystery.
For this exhibition she has explored with the use of charcoal and mixed media.

Terrianne is a member of the Melbourne group of artists, Fusion six, who in March 2007 held the inaugural exhibition of their ABOUT FACE touring exhibition at Glen Eira Council Gallery.
This exhibition is now touring nationally and the works have also been published in a quality book of the same title. Articles about this exceptional portraiture exhibition have also been featured in the International Artist and the Australian Artist magazines.

Regina Hona
Regina Hona is a modern impressionist artist who paints in the mediums of oil and soft pastel.
She is also a member of Fusion six, the Melbourne group of artists, who held the inaugural touring exhibition “ABOUT FACE” at Glen Eira Council Gallery. This exhibition is now touring nationally and the works have also been published in a quality book of the same title.

As a culmination of the year as Australian Art Excellence winners, AGRA Galleries is presenting this new series of works by Terrianne Murray and Regina Hona. It is truly an exhibition not to miss. Realist art is about our everyday reality and is art that enables us to look with new eyes at what is happening in our daily lives.
