AGRA Gallery displays members work at all times either in the members or full gallery.

Guild House hosts the following AGRA exhibitions in the AGRA Galleries yearly.

Individual Rooms or the full gallery may be hired for solo exhibitions at all other times.

 AGRA's Australian Art Awards Exhibition :- November

 INTERSTATE MEMBERS wishing to enter seasonal exhibitions are permitted to leave work to hang during the following general hanging month. Entry fee is waived but all courier charges must be paid by the exhibitor. Paintings must be in a carton and bubble-wrapped and be under 10kg.

Professional Artists Development

• Australia At Large -April and September Entry Form

• AAL is a slide entry exhibition for members. It is to give Artists who live beyond easy reach of Agra Galleries the opportunity to show their work, gain recognition points, and qualify for the Aspects of Excellence Annual Exhibition. By request entry has been opened to all full members. The winner of Australia at Large receives a certificate, will be announced in Hues, the 'Australian Artist' and Internet. Depending on their locality, they will have their paintings couriered to "Aspects of Excellence" courtesy of AGRA.This is one way of assisting our distant members. Or if within 100kms of AGRA they may choose an art materials voucher.

• The winners of group exhibitions and two runners up become eligible for the annual     ' Australian Art Excellence Awards' exhibition.  This exhibition is the venue for the selection of the artist for Australian promotion. AGRA believes that an artist's main task is to create but creations need to be seen to be apreciated. This award aims to further promote fine artists to a wide Australian audience. This is an Annual Award  THE CHOSEN ARTIST RECEIVES The AUSTRALIAN ART EXCELLENCE MEDALLION for the year. Promotion in Art Publications A promotional brochure on the artist and their work Free Exhibition space at AGRA Galleries for two weeks in the following year.  All major and traditional galleries in Australia informed of the award and the winner.    ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER Artists who are chosen for 'BEST PAINTING’ in the SEASONAL EXHIBITIONS and  AUSTRALIA AT LARGE slide competition are invited to submit 3 paintings.  Artists remain eligible for this exhibition for two years. (maximum number of paintings entered by any one artist=3 even if they qualify by winning more than one exhibition) There are three other awards given at this Exhibition    2000 was the inaugural year.  'The Australian Art Excellence Awards Exhibition' is held  October / November  View this year's results -Medallion Awards

   

As part of our Professional Development, AGRA has demonstration/exhibition days and conducts forums and workshops for artists and the public within the community. Specific details can be viewed at Professional Development

• Artists at Work a full day of demonstration by master artists of 3 mediums. Visitors have both a visual and gourmet feast.

• 3 Focus Days a full day of similtaneous demonstrations and talks on one medium limited to 50 viewers.

• Master Drawing 2 day workshop.   

• It is possible for Workshops to be arranged on request to the A.G.R.A. office either with local or interstate artists. These may also be within Victoria or other Australian States.

• Art Around the Table: - Informal meals where members gather to share a meal and artistic topics.

• The Ashburton Community Day where we take to the streets with our easels and demonstrate our painting methods. The local schools are all invited to hang exhibitions of their children's artwork. 

• U3A course Art Appreciation. Run by professional artists/teachers from our councillors. This is available by for U3A class by booking with the manager of the AGRA galleries.

AGRA Galleries host private exhibitions between official exhibitions. It is advisable to book well in advance if you wish to hire gallery space. The 'Members Gallery' is not for hire and remains a permanent AGRA hanging space.
