Background:-It is one of the purposes of AGRA to encourage, promote and celebrate excellence Australia wide. Since 2000 AGRA has awarded the ‘Australian Art Medallion’ annually to one artist. The medallion winner receives publicity for the following year. The artist receives their own personal promotional brochures. These are sent Australia wide to announce the winner and for the artists future personal use. There is publicity in local interstate and national publications and a free exhibition at AGRA Galleries with the runner up held in August 2006.

The Medallion winner is chosen from the ‘Aspects of Excellence’ exhibition held in October each year.
To enter this selection exhibition artists must have been Winner or Runner up in an AGRA Seasonal exhibition or ‘Australia At Large’.
(‘Australia at Large’ is specifically designed to include our distant members)
Entry for ‘Australia at Large’ is available to all full AGRA members. There will be one winner and two runners up.
They will receive a certificate and if they live beyond 100 km of Melbourne we will pay for a courier to send their entries to the annual Exhibition at AGRA Galleries in October this year or if they prefer they will receive an art materials spending voucher. The winners will be announced in the Hues Magazine and on the internet site and featured in the Australian Artist magazine at a later date.

Australia At Large (AAL) Competition Entry Form
Entry details
1. All entrants must be FULL members of AGRA.
2. Entry will be either 35mm slide (transparency), a high quality print or email*
3. If you qualify for distance membership(i.e. 100kms or more from AGRA headquarters in Camberwell. Victoria, please mark your form.
4. Each entrant may submit 3 entries and must use the official entry form below.
5. Entries will not be returned unless you include a stamped, self addressed envelope.
6. There is an entry fee of $5 for each entry entered in the competition.
7. Each entry must be clearly labelled with the artists name, title, medium and dimensions of the work.
8. Each slide should be placed in an unsealed plastic slide sleeve and attached to the official Entry Form. For protection, simply fold cardboard stiffener around the Entry Form.
9. Work will have been completed within the last 18 months, but need not be unsold.
10. All entries will be viewed and the winner and runners up will be selected by a panel of four judges.
11. The winner and runners up will be notified.

12 Please note that slides will not be returned unless you provide a stamped self addressed envellope.
